one of the most beautiful towns on the French Riviera
Italy - Naples
BMX biking. Never tried it but I'm sure it is a lot of fun.
It looks like they're enjoying themselves.
Except for the painted soccer goal, this could be somewhere in The Bronx. Common elements.
Sorry to offend anyone but I anxiously await the mornings to see my beloved Menton area thanks to Jilly's tireless efforts at her photography for YEARS now. My husband is very ill so we are unable to travel internationally to France and Italy at present. With beautiful Santa Margherita, Rapallo or even Apricale, etc. WHY are we subjected to the WORST that Italy has to offer on a weekly basis? ENOUGH! After 36 hours there in 2014, the graffiti was so overbearing especially with NO RESPECT for churches or official edifices that we simply left! PLEASE for your devoted viewers, let's get back to the origin of the blog.
Anonymous, it would have been nice had you put your name but no matter. You are correct in that if a blog has the name 'Menton' in the title then it should show images of Menton and surroundings and in fact I'm in process of creating a new blog. It will be launched in a week or so. It will be a blog that allows me to post what I want to post in my journey as a photographer. There will of course be images of Menton, Gorbio and surroundings because, after all, this is where I live, but it will also show street photography and photos of parts of France and Italy other than this region. This blog will end but all the posts will remain for viewers to enjoy at any time. I guess beauty in the eye of the beholder. I adored Naples. I loved the energy, the life, the joy of the people and that is what I sought to show in my work. Graffiti is part of Naples and to me it gave it life and colour. I appreciate not everyone agrees with me. It's a street photographer's paradise though. So, I understand your sentiments about this blog but I've posted daily for nearly ten years now and soon it will be time for me to move on. If you decide to subscribe to the new blog you'll find a heading that says 'Menton' and so you'll be able to selectively view what you want to see.
