Les Anciennes Fleuries - Simca Six

There's always great interest at the concours. Little boys, big boys, mothers - everyone wants to look inside and admire.

Another tiny car - this is a 1949 Simca Six Decouvrable.

Simca was founded in France in 1934. Originally associated with Fiat but later independent. In 1970 it became defunct and was taken over by the Chrysler group.

The Spanish parody group, Los Inhumanos, had a popular song called Qué dificil es hacer el amor en Simca 1000! (How difficult it is to make love in a Simca 1000!) One presumes it would be even more difficult in a Simca Six!

  1. I seem to recall having some driving lessons in a Simca. At the time I had no idea that Simca was originally founded in France. Another terrific photo, Jilly.

  2. superbe, avec toutes ces fleurs, cela lui donne un teint de jeune fille. La S imca 1000, c'était un danger public elle ne tenait pas la route.

Superb, with all these flowers, it gives him a maiden complexion. The S imca 1000, it was a public danger it did not take the road.

  3. Most of these automobiles are ones I never saw or heard of. I know obscure names like Willies, Nash, Hudson, and many others but the only name I have seen that I recognize is the MG. I knew some guys who owned them and VW of course.

  4. One of my boys friends had a MG, a very nice one but in spare parts in a garage...
This Simca is so cute! Décapotable, the must!

  5. Making love in a Simca of 569 cc would have been easier than in a Mini Minor of 749 cc; probably because it was French ?

  7. I never had a simca or a mini but I did have a Fiat 126, with sun roof! Fortunately I never needed to try it!

We found leaving both doors open helped but limited your parking options!!!!
