Cervo - Lunch at the Bar San Giorgino

This was lunch at the Ristorante San Giorgino.  To begin, gnocchi with pesto sauce (SO good!) and for the main course brandade de morue (this is sdried salted cod that has been soaked and re-constituted and then mixed with potato. Sounds awful I know but it's to die for delicious - a speciality of the Mediterranean.  And of course we had a glass of wine apiece. Superbe too.

This room in the Ristorante San Giorgino housed The Sangiorgino, an ancient oil-mill which dates back to the 13th Century and is now used as a shop, a wine bar for tastings and also for a 19 euro lunch such as we had.

  3. Looks like a super place to eat!
We were in the little "bisto" around the corner and ate "panini" instead.. Think that day this bar was closed. But I remember it well as I took photos from outside..
