Cave a Vin

Rue des Marins

Pale shutters, a niche, a sign - just around the corner from Place aux Herbes.

une belle enseigne, et j'aime les feuilles de vigne tout autour

Well, everything looks nice, no rusty streaks running down the facade from the iron grill around the niche. The sign looks fresh and the choice of lettering is outstanding and well executed. I like the vine too as it ties the whole picture together in an artistic and thoughtful way.

Agree with both commentators, who beat me to it! Clean, fresh photo. And the little monk seems to be enjoying himself!

Yes, the colors are sweet and soothing.

I've got to get to Menton and see for myself.

The typography reminds me of circus signs but I love it, especially with the vines growing around it.

In april, when we were going to attend the Mass in Saint-Michel, we passed in front of that little statue. What wonderful memories you remind me!
