Oh, that's a real post modern shot, Jilly!
That clorful windmill is fantastic. We call it "FerFereh" in Persian. It is a word that usually kids use ;)

Sarah, I looked it up and see it's sometimes called a whirligig. I always remember it as a windmill tho. I love the word FerFereh. It 'sounds' right!

bien vu, j'aime ce petit ventilateur pour enfant et cette couleur éblouissante au milieu de cette ancienne rue

I love how the ancient stone is warmed and transformed by the spots of color in this image. Beautiful!

And both are appropriated, they "live" together well Jilly. Apricale is not yet a window-town for tourists....just an old town where people young and old live for true. Authentic with an "heart".

Frank Lloyd Wright would have appreciated this hidden and thus dramatic entrance.

Jilly, your Apricale series is fantastic! Love the trio from yesterday, as well as the springtime attraction of the opposites -:)

Your whirligig is also known as a pinwheel.

Jilly - what a lot of names for this colourful pinwheel!

I'll just comment on the quality of your photo. The light was difficult there with bright and dark zones - your photo comes out as a beauty with stone and moss details sharp as they should be!

un escalier fort sympathique qui ne sert que pour la décoration de la rue
