The Garden that Isn't

You don't need a garden to have a garden in Gorbio village.

A beautiful alley or court yard -- important to have a variety of plants...nice dappled sunlight and small table to sit at -- when my grand mother was alive -- she planted every where she could in the city. A habit I see from the 'old' county

  5. Love the arch. Perhaps I should do the same thing re. plants in my own small yard. Never had a green thumb but it's not too late to learn.

  7. I love their gardens. I love their garden enough to even be envious or lustful. But the only way I would have such a garden is if I could have somebody who loved them more than me who would volunteer to come here and take care of the many pots and plants. That is my kind of potted garden. Otherwise, I like Natures many varied gardens best and that's what I have.

  10. Looks like a tight squeeze up those stairs. But who cares. There's something so satisfying about cultivating plants either for food or adornment. Do you think the desire to do this is rooted in our DNA? Lovely, evocative photo.

  11. Sometimes they look better than real garden that nobody cares about. It looks like a rock garden ! I love these little gardens at the corner of a street.

  19. That is so inviting. I just want to sit there - at that little table - and unwind. Everything everyone above said is spot on: A perfectly composed photo, taken by someone with an eye and a talent for such things.

    Thank you, Jilly.
