78th Fete du Citron - the Trojan Horse

The Trojan Horse - made of oranges and lemons. What adds to the fun is that as you walk around, each exhibit has an appropriate sound track. For the Trojan Horse, for example, you hear marching soldiers - or perhaps it's the clip-clop of horses' hooves.

~~~~~
Le cheval de Troie - fait d'oranges et de citrons. Ce qui ajoute au plaisir, c'est que lorsque vous vous déplacez, chaque motif a un thème sonore approprié. Pour le cheval de Troie, par exemple, vous entendez des pas de soldats qui défilent à moins que ce soit le clic-clac de sabots des chevaux.
These are so clever, I wonder what happens to them afterwards?
I find this theme as enjoyable as my friend Joy's apple paintings which I've been featuring on my blog the last few days. Interestingly, both subjects are fruit!
I remember similar fantastic feats with oranges from previous years. This is equally amazing. Is there anything inside the Trojan Horse?
Oh my goodness, these photos from the lemon festival are wonderful! Do people eat all the lemons and oranges afterwards? I obviously visited Menton at the wrong time of year!
Never seen anything like this! Wonder what happens to the fruit.
To everyone who has asked, any fruit that has not rotted is sold off at the end of the festival and is made into jam, wine,liqueur and so on.
