PhotoMenton - the Blacks and the Whites

There was, of course, lots of black and white photography - lots of FABULOUS black and white photography. Indeed, the winner of the public vote, Timothée Aspert, showed beautiful black and white street photography.

How it works, in terms of the vote, is that visitors pay 3 euros to enter the exhibition and when they leave they vote for the exhibitor whose photos they like best.

The main photo shows one of Timothée's beautiful shots. In the smaller pic, we see a stunning landscape by Michel Lecocq and finally, a wonderful old man by Laurent Roch. And for an extra treat, we have a truly great five minute video by Laurent called Street Photography. Sit back, turn on the sound and enjoy...

  2. Yesterday, my first full day back after my return from a recent trip, Glenda asked me if I had yet caught up with your recent posts. I had not, as catching up with my in box at work was a more pressing priority. Glenda raved about your series on Photo Menton, and today I see why. What a great event. As always, thank you for sharing.

  4. Wonderful post, Jilly, but I have to say that I have seen equally beautiful photos from you in each of these genres. We are still looking forward to seeing your submission to Photo Menton. The video was beautiful - but the music made it seem so somber.
