Palm Sunday in Gorbio - the Bible and the Curé


It's time for the branches to be blessed. From the church, the bible appears - held aloft by the nice man who makes olive oil in the village. He is followed by the curé in his red robes. In the second photo the lady following the curé is chanting. She is carrying the aspersory containing the holy water - this will be used in the blessing of the branches. You can see little Enzo (see yesterday's post) on the left of the photo.

C'est le moment de la bénédiction des Rameaux. Venant de l'église, la Bible apparaît - brandie par un sympathique monsieur qui produit de l'huile d'olive au village. Il est suivi par le curé dans ses habits rouges. Sur la deuxième photo de la dame à la suite du prêtre chante un cantique. Elle porte le seau contenant l'eau bénite et une branche de buis qui seront utilisés pour bénir les rameaux. Vous pouvez voir le petit Enzo (voir le post d'hier) sur la gauche de la photo.

  1. J'aime beaucoup l'atmosphère familiale autour de cette petite église de village.

    L'église fait partie de la vie. C'est paisible, chaleureux et rassurant.
