Fête du Citron: Corso - Giants!

These giant creatures are motorized and whiz from one side of the street to the other at great speed, stopping just before they crash into the crowd. Scary stuff and possibly a little dangerous, hence the security man you see in the smaller photograph. There are half a dozen of these creatures - one naturally enough: a wild boar.

Tomorrow - the last day of the Corso. Do come back for the grand finale!

  6. Don't think the Health & Safety people here would allow such things on our streets.

  7. Impressionnant! I think that even at my age I would have been afraid of it :-))

  8. It is both magnificent and beautiful! It reminds me of "In the Heart of the Beast" Theatre in Minneapolis, MN that has an annual summer parade with their giant puppets. I took my then 4-yr-old grandson to see it one year, and he had the good sense to be terrified of the puppets!!

  10. This parade has been so much fun! It seems like it is much more spectacular and interactive than any parade I've been to.
