The Arabian Horse Show - Reflections in an Eye

Reflections in an Arabian's eye.

Arabian horses have any fine hairs around the eyes and on parts of the muzzle shaved. Then, baby oil or Vaseline is applied to emphasise the black markings and thereby make the eye and muzzle seem more beautiful. I'm sure they are beautiful without it but it seems to be a tradition to catch the judge's eye.

  8. This is a more attractive eye than the close up of a crocodile's eye that I showed a few days ago.
