one of the most beautiful towns on the French Riviera
Midway through the service a fisherman delivers the offering and leaves it outside the church until it is time to take it to the altar.
This is a really interesting tradition.Sydney - City and Suburbs
It makes you rethink the idea of "offering"! Wonderful pictures of fish and fisher.
These are my favorite shots of this series.
Gratitude is an important ingredient to living well.Joanny
What a beautiful offering. Is this a traditional arrangement or is this fisherman an artist? His love of his profession shows in the arrangement of his offering.
These are the most moving of all the photos from this series. The care this fisherman took to put his beautiful offering together is really uplifting. I also love his traditional fisherman's shirt. It's nice to know that some things haven't changed completely in this rapidly changing world of ours. Thanks so much.
The previous "commenters" reflect my thoughts about this post. I thought initially that the large photo of the fish in the basket was a painting! BEAUTIFUL colors and composition. With your continued permission, I will make a painting! :-) Please continue posting these inspirational photos.Ken B.
Avocaken's paintings of your work should be seen here Jilly. I can't wait for that.I love this wonderful portrait. You are so good at these. V
