No beautiful Menton today but the back of the railway lines and a sign telling the dogs where they can pee. And seemingly they can read but you'll be glad to know I cropped out the piles of dried up dog poop!

Hah! Absolutely ... I needed to know that. I like images like this, Jilly. Makes a beautiful place more beautiful to know that it functions like many other towns.
The town in Australia you were trying to remember was Grafton, so you were extremely close. Its main street is absolutely gorgeous when the Jacaranda is in bloom.
