Bussana Vecchia - Snail Mail


The village mail boxes nestle amongst ivy and Morning Glory on a wall at the foot of the village.

Click on the first photo to enlarge - a snail lives inside the box on the left which gives real meaning to the words 'snail mail.'

Les boîtes aux lettres sont nichées au creux du lierre et des volubilis sur un mur, au pied du village.

Cliquez sur la première photo pour l'agrandir - un escargot vit à l'intérieur de la boîte sur la gauche ce qui donne un véritable sens à l'expression 'courrier d'escargot.'

  4. I like mail boxes pictures, in villages; They're all different, pretty, decorated..Snailmail , or "butterfly" mail?..:o)

  9. The collection shot is a delight, Jilly. I like that at least two of the villagers had the temerity to dig their letterbox into the face of the wall. That shows a degree of permanency ...
