Easter Monday People - the Dishy Italian
There I was, about to take a shot of the 'rampes,' the steps that lead up to Rue Longue, when I noticed this handsome young man. I loved the contrast of the colours of the building and he in black and white.
I thought if I was clever I'd sneak a shot of him, but he was too quick for me. He smiled. I smiled. I said, 'I'll take 'your' photograph then,' dragging my camera away from the rampes (so difficult!) and then he waved. I asked him if I could take another and later he gave me his email address to send him the photos, which I've done.
(P.S. I found it hard to choose which photo I preferred. I might yet change them around. What do you think?)

I prefer the first one, because it is well showing the all building and the young guy doesn't seem to have a cigarette in his hand. (And yet he had)
His "hello" is handsome. The red and yellow colors are soft. My familly house was painted when it was sold in red and yellow but much less beautiful.
I just like the one waving. To me it is like a bird singing versus one just perched.
Oh, he is not all that, LOL. Nice shoes though.
I think I prefer the second. He's smiling, but still relaxed and natural. But Cergie is right, it would miss the colored house that is so gorgeous.
I think he may have been excited to see you as well!
I agree with you, the contrast is great.
It's his posture that makes these shots. He's so at home in his body. He softens everything around him. The composition and color really work well here but I think it's your subject that adds the real sparkle to these shots.
Such rich colours...and such a dreamy guy. A little young, tho..too bad!!
Abe, I love what you wrote. And Brattcat, you are so right. he was at home in his body - so relaxed, fluid almost like a dancer - and the contrast of that with the lines of the building emphasise it.
And yes I loved the shoes too, Jim.
The first shot is well framed by the colors of the building. I do not like italian men, expecially if they are younger and leaner than me...

He is very handsome but his lungs must not be as handsome as he is !
The stance of the hand/fingers is a little offputting, I agree.
I do like the cherry red and the ochre. Such a lovely combination.
You did, of course, get your photo of the rampes? Yes ... or did it go right out of your head?
He certainly is good looking -- and appears to have a friendly personality too. A deadly combo! :)
