Stuck Up
Look left, look right, you'll see something to surprise you on market days in Menton. Here we have two almost life-sized figures, made of papier maché, I presume.
I'd love to know their history. Yes I know, I should have asked but the market was closing and the owner of this stall was busy packing up her van.
They'd not been sold.

These two pieces are wonderful. I'd love to see them in their entirety. But I also love the tight focus on their faces.
I've heard all good things about market days in France...and these two almost life-sized figures...well, extraordinary.
Papier mache? That's amazing. The facial expressions alone are worth a look.
It would be interesting to know who created them and why...
Oh dear I am all freaked out again. Add these to the list of items that give me the spooks.
They are scary but interesting!
It is a perfect title for the faces!
For being made of paper mache they look really good.
Jilly, you always find the most interesting faces, human or non!
Great facial expressions, and lovely pieces of art.
