The Church's New Facade - The Assistant & her Dog
Today we meet Monsieur Zanatta's charming assistant, Madame Evelyne Sauvage - and her dog! He wouldn't want to fall off the scaffolding but then obviously he's used to sitting happily alongside his owner whilst she does her delicate and beautiful work.

How fun that she would bring her dog along with her and how good her dog is to sit there so patiently. Fun picture! What a daunting job.

French dogs are some of the best behaved dogs in the world. I have seen them sit for hours under the tables in restaurants without causing any fuss, even when other dogs are nearby, and no matter what delicious food is being devoured over their heads. Maybe it is because they are taken almost everywhere when they are puppies, and are welcome almost anywhere as well - even on scaffolding.
And quite a lovely artist she is. I'm worried about that pup but surely she knows he's safe.

Petrea I was walking down a higher part of the village and snapped this from the end of a narrow street. I was therefore on the level of the woman - more or less and give and take the zoom!
