Le Week-End Africain - 'Yassa'

Our main course is Chicken Yassa, which is a celebrated Senegalese dish that has become popular throughout Western Africa. The chicken in marinated in lemon juice and spices and served with a spicy onion sauce and the rice we saw being cooked the other day.

Here we see the chicken being cooked on an open grill - note the spices sprinkled from a champagne bucket! Meanwhile plates are being filled with rice. Delicious!

Delicieux!

  3. Okay so you don't have the skill, time or patience to cook up that perfect soul food dinner? Chances are a soul food restaurant in your area is serving up home cooking just like mom or grandma use to make. Thieb rouge viande
