Pink
A metre or so along from yesterday's lady on a bench is this tree - behind it, the sea. Looking at the flower I thought it must be an orchid tree - a Bauhinia - but the leaves are not Bauhinia leaves and the flower is more rigid. Does anyone know what it is?
P.S: Thanks so much to Semi who left a comment that this is Chorisia Speciosa.

Beautiful pink sun, Jilly, whatever is its real name...His name won't be as beautiful as the flower itself.
I can't help with the name but it's a gorgeous shot. Did it have a fragrance? Can't you just imagine it in the hair of the reader from yesterday?
Not a clue! But it looks like some kind of lily that has been trimmed with pinking shears!
A very interesting spider-like bloom. I wonder what it is.
Creo que es Chorisia speciosa
Semi, thanks so much. I didn't think of that - just looked and exactly right as you well knew. Many thanks.
Very strange but pretty flower.
