Give me light!

Narrow and dark - how some of the streets in the old town can be. The beautiful church, which you saw in this post, is glimpsed at the end.

    Much like looking from the dark corners of antiquity into the light of the future. Just think of the history of these narrow streets. Magnificent!

    It boggles the mind, given Menton's history of "ownership." Were the people of 100, 200 years ago as taken by that campanile as I am, I wonder?

    Wow. Narrow street. It is very close. I don't think I have seen anything like this before.

    Thank you for visiting my blog and commenting. In response to your question about raccoons on the roof...

    We used to have a large roofed Japanese gate on each side of the house that led into the backyard. They had roofs and raccoons would go up the gate onto the roof and then step over onto the house roof. I found their dung on the roof and wondered what it was. Upon examination I found all kinds of hair in it and came to the conclusion that it had to be raccoons as no other animal who climbs like they do could put out that kind of evidence on my roof. So, bellieve it or not, I disassembled the roof gates and that ended the problem.

    This is sooo beautiful. I can imagine an old lady carrying her small grocery sack down the street to her apartment. There will be a baguette, some fruits, cheese and vegetables.
