A Village Wedding - Four Wedding Gowns

Don't you just love it! In this ancient village square, four sumptuous wedding gowns sit waiting for the bride and groom and the guests to walk down from the church.

The olive trees are decorated with white paper and lace ribbons.

Ne trouvez-vous pas cela joli! Sur la place de cet ancien village, quatre somptueuses robes de mariée assises attendent que les mariés et leurs invités descendent de l'église.

Les oliviers sont décorés avec du papier blanc et des rubans de dentelle.

This is utterly delightful. Getting married on the village square, surrounded by olive trees... Dreamy. This looks so perfect it's almost as if it had been staged for a magazine photo shoot, doesn't it? Veronique (French Girl in Seattle)

The square is so beautifully set up Jilly, love the cushions scattered on the benches and as you say the wedding dresses add that glamorous touch. Can't wait to see the bride herself.

Absolutely gorgeous. I love how everyone with a window onto the square gets to watch, invited or not.

I"m just gaga over this idea. So French. We'd never think of anything this simple and chic.

But ... why? What do they symbolise? Can anyone display them? Who stores them between weddings?

You can see how my dumb brain works: yes, they are cute/quaint/delightful .. but ...
